Economics of Quality Management Practices and Performance of Bakery Firms in South East, Nigeria

Abstract:

This study examines the impact of quality management practices on the performance of bakery firms in South East Nigeria. Through a survey of bakery managers, the research identified that adherence to hygiene standards, product packaging, and customer feedback mechanisms significantly improved market share and profitability. The study encourages small-scale entrepreneurs to adopt formal quality control systems to compete with larger brands in the food industry.
