Unbundling the Impact of Fiscal Policy on Health and Educational Outcomes in Nigeria: A Sectoral Analysis

Abstract:

This study examines the impact of fiscal policy on health and education outcomes in Nigeria using the NARDL model for data from 1981 to 2022. The findings reveal that increased government expenditure has a significant positive impact on life expectancy and school enrollment, particularly in the long run. The study recommends prioritizing targeted interventions in healthcare and education and improving the efficiency of public spending to ensure sustainable human capital development.
